Warehouse Worker - $19.00/hour

Position summary

This role supports daily warehouse and yard operations at a storage center. You will operate a forklift to load and unload portable storage containers, help keep the facility safe and clean, and support drivers and routing activities as needed.

What you’ll do

• Operate a forklift to load and unload containers for local delivery drivers, inter-franchise drivers, new inventory, repositioning, and customer access.
• Load trucks for the first route and stage inter-franchise and customer access containers.
• Follow morning procedures, including printing routes and pulling ancillary items when assigned.
• Support the market manager with routing and daily coordination.
• Make sure full containers staged outside during the day are returned to the warehouse each night.
• Maintain required tracking systems and records.
• Fuel the forklift, complete daily inspection reports, keep records onsite, and report needed repairs.
• Help maintain a safe, clean work environment inside and outside the facility.
• Print and time-stamp waybills, and scan and upload contracts, addendums, and other documents as needed.
• Repair damaged containers when required.
• Stay in contact with drivers as needed to support their routes.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous forklift experience (required).
• Ability to obtain forklift driver certification.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Math skills sufficient for the job.
• Storage center experience preferred (4-6 years).
• Equivalent education, training, or experience may be considered.
