Warehouse Technician

Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Location: Chandlers Ford Head Office

Our Sales, Hire and Service teams support customers from every industry sector, whether they are looking to purchase, hire or maintain equipment. Products include process chillers, adiabatic, dry air & free coolers, cooling towers, temperature control units, boilers, air conditioning units and portable heaters. The Company has a clearly defined growth plan over the coming years which will offer employees training and development opportunities. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Warehouse Technician to join our teams at Aqua.

Main Duties:

  • Learning products and testing of heating and cooling equipment in the warehouse
  • Assisting lead engineers with testing, prepping, loading, and unloading
  • Following company policies and procedures
  • Recording data of returned items and reporting any issues found
  • Help maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Picking Job orders with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Reporting of stock level shortages
  • Assisting with stock checks and audits
  • Using a pressure washer to clean large equipment


Skills & Person Specification:

  • Mechanical engineering/ electrical/ technician background
  • Able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable adjustment. Heavy lifting and standing / walking for long periods of time.
  • Forklift license and experience beneficial but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge of Outlook
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary
  • Good time keeping and time management skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well as a team and on your own.
  • Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Eager to become a diverse and skilled member of the warehouse team
  • Attention to detail and takes pride in their work

Employment Type

Full time: 37.5 hours per week, plus overtime

Heating Hire Keeps Things Warm & Toasty

Aqua Hire have been busy heating a network of warehouses for one of the UK’s biggest food producers. Our client, best known for their range of bakery products, created a series of temporary storage distribution centres across the country to keep their distribution network on track and to keep up with demand.

Each centre consisted of a huge warehouse which needed heating to ensure the premises stayed at a consistently comfortable temperature for the warehousing and logistics staff based there. Whilst each site was slightly different in size and layout, our team designed a system using indirect oil-fired heaters which could achieve a comfortable 22°C temperature over the winter months.
