Telehealth Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)

<p><span>As a WellNow Provider, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to improving the delivery of quality healthcare to our Virtual Urgent Care patients while being part of a medical community in which you are supported in your growth as a medical professional. </span></p><p><span> </span></p><p><span>As a reflection of our continued growth, we are seeking a part-time, seasonal, Telehealth provider that is licensed in New York for WellNow Virtual Care!</span></p><p></p><p><b>Salary:</b></p><ul><li><p>Qualified NP/PA hourly rate is $60/hour<span> </span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>As an NP or PA, you’ll succeed by:</span> </b></p><p>Outstanding Patient Care and Medical Knowledge</p><ul><li><p>Assesses patient needs within a telemedicine care setting</p></li><li><p>Appropriately triages patients to differentiate the patient needs</p></li><li><p>Evaluates patients in a timely manner, putting patient care above clerical duties</p></li><li><p>Performs a thorough history and physical exam on each patient</p></li><li><p>Creates an individualized, evidence-based plan of care</p></li><li><p>Appropriately consults the on-call WellNow physician and on-call radiologist</p></li><li><p>Effectively manages payers across the spectrum of services provided at a site</p></li><li><p>Follows evidence-based standards for ordering laboratory, radiology and other diagnostic studies</p></li><li><p>Uses evidence-based resources for treatment options</p></li><li><p>Orders and prescribes appropriate medications</p></li><li><p>Appropriately consults and refers to primary care and specialty physicians</p></li><li><p>Performs procedures appropriate type of services provided at the standard of care</p></li><li><p>Educates patients regarding the disease process and discharge plan</p></li><li><p>Maintains patient confidentiality</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Continuous Practice-Based Learning</p><ul><li><p>Completes CME requirements for specialty</p></li><li><p>Attends peer review and education update meetings</p></li><li><p>Serves as a resource in educating other staff members</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Superior Interpersonal and Communication Skills</p><ul><li><p>Treats every patient professionally and compassionately</p></li><li><p>Communicates with clinical staff regarding patient condition and plan of care</p></li><li><p>Does not discuss details of business with patients</p></li><li><p>Does not label patients</p></li><li><p>Takes concerns to management instead of discussing with staff</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Professionalism</p><ul><li><p>Arrives to work on time</p></li><li><p>Adheres to the dress code described in the Employee Handbook</p></li><li><p>Limits personal conversations with staff</p></li><li><p>Continues to see patients during scheduled time</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Attention to System-Based Practice</p><ul><li><p>Maintains patient records for clinic use, medical record use, and billing use</p></li><li><p>Completes charts within 3 days of shift</p></li><li><p>Ensures all diagnostic tests that are not complete at the time of care are reviewed and appropriately followed up</p></li><li><p>Attends meetings</p></li><li><p>Participates in special projects as they arise</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u><span>Minimum Qualifications:</span></u></b></p><ul><li><p><span>1+ years of emergency medicine/urgent care experience, telemedicine experience, or family practice experience, which includes the ability to manage adult and pediatric patients. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Ideal candidate will have experience working in both a fast track and main emergency department setting</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to work well independently evaluating and managing patients, and serve as a leader of a team</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Friendly and customer service oriented.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u><span>Education:</span></u></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program or an accredited university.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u><span>Required License or Certification:</span></u></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Provider must be willing to obtain multiple state licenses as directed by WellNow</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provider must have NY and IL state license at time of employment</span></p></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><br><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p>WellNow <span>is an EOE.</span></p><p><span>WellNow, is part of TAG-The Aspen Group's family of healthcare brands. </span></p><p></p><p><a href="https://careers.aspendental.com/us/en/tag-privacy-policy-for-california-employees" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span>View CA Privacy Policy </span></a></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
