Job Overview: This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end‑to‑end go‑to‑market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.
Senior Partner Consultant Responsibilities: Assist AWS partners to reshape existing products and services around cloud. Engage with Partner Executives, facilitate workshops, and drive toward business transformational outcomes including new business models and staffing plans. Gather relevant data to build compelling ROI models and guide executives through necessary changes with quantitative evidence.
Primary Responsibility: Lead Business Development activities with top‑tier consulting partners and managed service providers supporting AWS Sales/Partner teams. Serve as an expert resource on financial/business modeling and economically related partner engagements, design facilitated workshops that drive topical outcomes, and help partners create long‑term sustainable AWS services.
Candidate Profile: Business and IT background to drive executive engagement and buy‑in at the highest levels of established partners. Technical depth and prior business consulting experience to communicate economic benefits of building an AWS Cloud Practice or specific AWS service offerings (Managed Exchange, Disaster Recovery, Managed Big Data services). Demonstrated strategic, long‑term thinking about needs of large ISVs, consulting organizations, and managed service providers.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the Partner Business Development team in helping grow AWS business through our Partners
- Work with AWS Partner Sales & BD teams, drive proactive ROI/economic conversations with our partners
- Contribute to developing a standard ROI framework and new spreadsheet models for the AWS Partner team
- Create market insights into partner business practices and common issues in building an AWS practice
- Communicate market realities regarding partners’ evolving needs to internal stakeholders
- Prepare and present business reviews to the senior management team
- Design facilitated workshops and exercises that include data collection, data analysis, consensus building, and organizational buy‑in
- Productize select use cases such as Hosting Migrations and build accurate economic and enablement models

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of Go‑To‑Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
Salary and Benefits
Base salary range: 162,700.00 - 220,200.00 USD annually.
