RN - Emergency Room (ER) Nurse

Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate, individualized patient care in a busy Emergency Room setting within the Midwest region. This role involves developing and implementing nursing care plans, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring patient safety at all times. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to deliver outstanding care and foster respectful relationships with patients and families.

Essential Functions

  • Assess, plan, implement, and document personalized nursing care for patients of all ages, including newborns and children in emergency and pediatric units.
  • Encourage patient independence by setting care goals and involving patients and families in discussions about medical issues, testing, medications, and self-care.
  • Monitor patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions, reporting changes promptly.
  • Provide direct patient care and support as an integral part of the healthcare team.
  • Mentor and train new staff and students to uphold high standards of care.
  • Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Demonstrate unit-specific competencies within a reasonable orientation period and maintain ongoing proficiency.
Education and Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
  • BSN strongly preferred.
  • Previous nursing experience is advantageous.
Licensure and Certifications
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the relevant state.
  • Healthcare Provider BLS certification through AHA or ARC within 30 days of hire.
