Registered Nurse (RN) - IMC/ED Float Pool
Responsibilities/Job Description:
This position is 0.75 FTE (60 hours per two weeks), 12 hour shifts on the DAY shift with an every third weekend commitment.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

As an Intermediate Care Unit/Emergency Department Float Pool RN will see a variety of patient populations including Cardiac Step Down, Adult IMC, Blood and Marrow Transplant units, and Emergency Department.

Responsibilities
- Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
- Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
- Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
- Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
- Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
- Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)
Required Qualifications
- MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of experience
$42.96- $72.75 Hourly
