Production Operator

For the job as an operator in the port of Ghent, you will take on the following tasks.You load and unload (sea)ships, barges, and trucks at the terminalYou have direct contact with customers such as skippers and driversYou ensure a clean and safe workplace (cleaning spills, housekeeping)You complete checklists and perform administrative tasks related to operational workYou manage work orders in the Rimses systemYou ensure smooth information transfer to the next team (shift handover)You conduct the initial inspection and analysis in case of technical defectsYou always follow safety instructions and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) What do we offer to you?A gross hourly wage between € 19.00/hour to € 20.00/hourShift premiumsMeal vouchers € 8.00/per worked day (permanent contract)Internal guidance and trainingA collegial working atmosphere in a motivated teamWork schedule: 6 AM to 2 PM and 10 AM to 6 PM We always plan holidays together with the team. For this position we are looking for the following profile.You have at least an A2 diplomaExperience in the (petro)chemical industry is a plus, as is knowledge of pumps, liquids and couplingsYou have knowledge of ADN/IMO (safe transport of hazardous substances) or are willing to learn thisYou speak and write Dutch well, you can communicate orally in English. German is a plusYou work accurately and follow the checklists carefullyYou are energetic, flexible, versatile and reliable
