Product Owner, AI-Augmented Delivery (Remote)

<strong>Job Summary:</strong><br><br>The Product Owner is a key liaison between market needs and delivery of a solution. In this role, the Product Owner owns the backlog end-to-end-writing clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, collaborating with engineering and UX, and leveraging AI tools to work efficiently at scale. <br><br><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul><li>Independently manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring the team always works on the highest-impact work</li><li>Author well-structured epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria; leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatPRD, Rovo) to produce and refine backlog artifacts efficiently and at scale</li><li>Design and maintain reusable prompt templates for recurring PO tasks - story generation, acceptance criteria drafting, refinement prep - so AI-assisted output is consistent and team-ready</li><li>Lead the planning of product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities</li><li>Confirm that executed stories comply with Neumo's Definition of Done</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure successful product releases</li><li>Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather, validate, and translate requirements into actionable backlog items</li><li>Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and drive continuous improvement</li><li>Ensure product decisions align with user needs, business goals, and technical capabilities</li><li>Work closely with senior leadership to inform product strategy and provide updates on product progress and milestones</li><li>Monitor and report on product performance, quality, and usage metrics</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul><br><strong>Education and Experience:</strong><br><ul><li>3+ years' experience working in Agile methodology and a deep understanding of various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle; preferably in Product Owner or Business Analyst role</li><li>Public sector software or familiarity with judicial systems is a strong differentiator</li><li>Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Figma; experience with AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, ChatPRD, Copilot) to accelerate story creation and analysis; </li><li>Familiarity with technical concepts including APIs, middleware, services, and SQL</li></ul><br><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong><br><ul><li>Proficiency in prompt engineering as applied to product work - structuring context-rich, role-specific prompts that generate well-formed epics, stories, and acceptance criteria, and iterating on prompts to achieve alignment with Definition of Ready/Done</li><li>Strong written communication skills and client presence; able to translate effectively between technical and business audiences</li><li>Ability to create epics, user stories, user journeys, wireframes, and basic diagrams to convey ideas </li><li>Able to juggle multiple competing priorities </li><li>Ability to persuade, encourage and motivate others to beat deadlines </li></ul><br><strong>Work Environment:</strong><br><br>The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computer<br><br><strong>Physical Demands:</strong><br><ul><li>Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day</li><li>Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine</li><li>This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office</li><li>The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone</li></ul><br><strong>Neumo Summary:</strong><br><br>With the backing of four decades of public sector expertise and corporate capability, Neumo has successfully supported government services.
