We're looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to step into the role of Operations Area Manager. In this vital position, you will lead and inspire a dedicated team of hourly employees, prioritizing safety, quality, attendance, and performance.</p><p>Your leadership will ensure that customer orders are delivered accurately and on time, fulfilling our mission to meet customer expectations. Our operations workflow consists of three key phases: First mile, Middle mile, and Last mile. Each phase has its unique processes, but our commitment to our customers remains constant.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.</li><li>Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.</li><li>Work collaboratively with support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to fulfill business objectives.</li><li>Lift up to 49 pounds and regularly push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.</li><li>Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.</li><li>Adapt to variable noise levels and temperatures, including outdoor conditions.</li><li>Continuously navigate stairs (for sites with stairs).</li></ul><p>Our fulfillment network constantly evolves, offering numerous growth opportunities within our operations.</p><p><b>Basic Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>2+ years of experience in employee and performance management.</li><li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of experience at Amazon (blue badge/FTE).</li><li>Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.</li></ul><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvements, or lean techniques.</li><li>Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.</li><li>Familiarity with process improvements (Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma).</li><li>Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>A degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.</li><li>Experience in sectors like retail, manufacturing, military, and logistics.</li></ul><p>We are an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive culture that empowers all employees.
