Job Title: Entry-Level Writer Location: Remote | Work from Anywhere Job Type: Contract | Entry-Level | Flexible Hours Experience Required: None | Training Provided Compensation: Project-Based | Performance-Tiered Industry: Digital Publishing | Online Content Support About This Position We are hiring entry-level writers to join our remote publishing team and assist with the creation of structured digital book content. This role is designed for individuals who want to gain experience in content development without the pressure of long-form writing or editorial deadlines. As an Entry-Level Writer, you’ll support the development of written materials for journals, planners, trackers, and low-content publications intended for online marketplaces. No professional writing background is required. If you can follow a format, write clear and consistent text, and stay organized, you can succeed in this role. Training is included, and all templates are provided. Role Overview As part of the writing team, you’ll help generate brief written content across a variety of book categories. These may include daily reflection prompts, productivity questions, habit tracker descriptions, journal page starters, goal-setting sections, and themed headings. Each assignment includes a clear brief outlining the topic, structure, tone, and content style. Your task is to produce short-form written content that aligns with the format provided. This is not blog writing or sales copywriting. You’ll be working with repeatable formats that are easy to follow and complete with minimal revision cycles. Responsibilities Write clear, concise, and engaging short-form content based on prompts and templates provided. Follow structured outlines for books like gratitude journals, daily planners, fitness logs, and guided affirmations. Create headlines, prompts, reflection questions, or activity sections for specific book types. Ensure consistency of tone and structure across each section. Review and self-edit content before submission. Meet project deadlines and word count targets as specified. Participate in feedback loops and apply updates as needed. Track progress in the internal project portal and communicate with the content coordinator when necessary. Qualifications No prior writing or publishing experience required. Strong written communication and attention to detail are essential. Ability to follow templates and content guidelines precisely. Comfort with brief, repeatable writing tasks. Familiarity with digital tools like Google Docs, Notion, or Airtable is helpful. Willingness to receive feedback and complete revisions when needed. Dependable time management and project organization. Required Equipment A desktop or laptop computer. Stable internet connection. Gmail account and access to browser-based writing tools. Optional: Familiarity with Canva or formatting software is helpful but not required. What You’ll Be Writing Most assignments will involve structured, low-pressure writing like daily affirmations, wellness tracking prompts, goal-oriented reflection questions, journal headers, progress check-ins, page instructions, or habit logging themes. You’ll be given examples and formatting rules to follow, allowing you to create polished work without needing to generate ideas from scratch. Sample Day in the Role You’ll log in to the content dashboard and select a writing assignment. For example, the project may ask for 30 prompts for a self-care journal, each 15–20 words in length. You’ll read the tone guide, open the template, and start writing your prompts directly into the document. Once finished, you’ll do a quick edit pass and submit for review. You might then start a second task such as creating section headers for a budget planner or inputting gratitude reflections into a preformatted tracker. Tasks are clear and repeatable, with time estimates ranging from 30 to 90 minutes depending on complexity. Who Excels in This Role Writers who enjoy concise, purpose-driven content. Detail-oriented individuals who like templates and formats. Beginners looking to grow their skills with structure and support. Freelancers interested in content work without client-facing responsibilities. Students and remote workers seeking portfolio-building assignments. Creative thinkers who enjoy contributing to wellness, productivity, and lifestyle content. Growth Opportunities Writers who complete consistent, high-quality content may be invited to take on higher-tier assignments such as content planning, voice style development, and product series continuity writing. Additional roles in layout coordination, editorial review, and category expansion may also become available. This position offers a practical foundation in online content creation and self-publishing, with real-world applications in digital product development and publishing team support.
