Manager, Government & Industry Relations Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL (REMOTE) Base Salary Rate: $138,121.00 - $162,495.00 Job type: Full-time About This Role The Manager of Government and Industry Relations is responsible for leading Kidde’s engagement with state governments across the United States. This position will develop and execute strategies to advance the company's priorities in fire and life-safety products within state legislative, regulatory, and industry association environments. The role serves as the primary point of contact with state legislators, regulatory agencies, governors' offices, and relevant trade and industry organizations to ensure the company's interests are effectively represented. Key Responsibilities Strategic Engagement • Develop and manage strategies for engagement with state legislatures, regulatory agencies, and governors' offices in priority jurisdictions. • Monitor state legislative and regulatory developments impacting fire and life-safety products; assess potential impacts on business operations, technologies, certifications, and market access. • Align state advocacy priorities with company objectives and broader government relations strategies. Advocacy • Represent the organization in meetings with state policymakers, regulators, and key external stakeholders. • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with state officials, coalitions, and other partners. • Advocate for policies that advance public safety and support organizational growth. Industry Relations • Build and maintain strong relationships with trade associations, standards development organizations, and industry coalitions relevant to fire and life-safety. • Represent the company in industry forums, working groups, and conferences to shape policy and regulatory discussions. • Partner with industry peers to identify common priorities and advance collective advocacy efforts. • Ensure industry perspectives and partnerships are integrated into company strategies for state-level engagement. • Drive collaboration and alignment between strategic partners. • Work closely with internal teams (Engineering, Product Compliance, Communications, Marketing & Legal) to ensure state-level policy and regulatory positions reflect company objectives. • Support internal leadership with policy analyses, briefings, and preparation of testimony and advocacy materials. • Provide internal updates, training, and guidance on state policy, regulatory issues, and industry developments. Project Oversight • Track and coordinate state legislative sessions, hearings, and regulatory processes relevant to the organization. • Oversee preparation and submission of comment letters, testimony, and other required documentation. • Maintain a forward calendar of key state legislative and regulatory milestones to prioritize engagement. Compliance and Risk Management • Identify and evaluate potential risks arising from evolving state policies, legislation, and industry initiatives. • Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with applicable state regulations. • Provide guidance to compliance, quality, and legal teams on state-specific requirements. Budget Management • Manage budgets related to government relations activities, including association memberships, sponsorships, events, and external consultants. • Track expenditures, monitor
