Location: Poole (Must Drive)
Salary: £13.68 - £14.21 Per Hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 2 hours per day (flexible between 11am and 2pm)

About the Setting

The college is an education setting based for 16 – 25 year olds with Special Educational Needs. It is based on 350 acres of beautiful Dorset countryside. The school operate enterprise activities and vocational teaching methods to bridge the gap between education and employment for young people and adults with SEN in Dorset and the local area. The school focuses on vocations like horticulture, agriculture, equine skills and animal care as well as many more, to enrich the lives and education of its pupils.

About the Role

This role offers flexible working hours between 11:00am and 2:00pm, depending on your availability. It operates on a flexible working arrangement, making it ideal for someone looking for shorter, adaptable shifts within a supportive educational setting. This is a fantastic opportunity which is perfect for parents, carers, or anyone seeking part-time work that fits around school drop-offs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise pupils with a range of special educational needs during lunch and playtimes
• Assist with feeding routines and provide personal care as required
• Encourage positive behaviour and support meaningful social interaction
• Promote safe, inclusive play in both indoor and outdoor settings
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to meet individual needs
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment throughout lunchtime

Requirements:

• UK Driving License
• A caring, calm, and reliable nature
• A genuine interest in supporting young adults with additional needs
• Flexibility and initiative in responding to children’s needs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Experience in a school or care setting is desirable but not essential
• Willingness to learn about and develop an understanding of SEN

Pay: £13.68-£14.21 per hour
