I’m looking for an experienced line editor and proofreader to polish my nonfiction manuscript (approx. 40,000 words). The book is targeted at homeowners with property damage (insurance claims).

Need strong line editing to improve grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, and to improve clarity, flow, and tone.

Final deliverable in Word with tracked changes

Requirements:

•Proven experience in line-editing and proofreading nonfiction books

• Strong command of grammar, style, and sentence flow (Chicago Manual of Style or similar)

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines

• Bonus: familiar with self-publishing / Amazon KDP / Ingram

• Confidentiality agreement / work-for-hire
