<h1><strong>Industrial Maintenance & Mechanical Assembly Technician - NOW HIRING</strong></h1><p><h2><strong>Overview</strong></h2><p>A fast‑growing automation and manufacturing facility in Sarasota, FL is seeking a skilled <strong>Industrial Maintenance & Mechanical Assembly Technician</strong> to support equipment maintenance, mechanical builds, installation, and system integration. This hybrid role combines mechanical troubleshooting with hands‑on assembly work to ensure automated machinery is built correctly, maintained properly, and operates at peak performance. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving ability, and experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.</p><hr /><h2><strong>Position Summary</strong></h2><p>This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing automated equipment while also contributing to the mechanical assembly of new machinery and industrial systems. The ideal candidate can interpret technical drawings, perform mechanical diagnostics, complete precision alignments, and assist with equipment testing and integration.</p><hr /><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><p><strong>Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting</strong></p><ul><li>Perform routine and preventative maintenance on automated machinery and production equipment.</li><li>Diagnose and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues to minimize downtime.</li><li>Repair or replace components such as bearings, belts, shafts, motors, actuators, gearboxes, and motion hardware.</li><li>Use measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, dial indicators) for alignments and adjustments.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and follow all safety and lockout/tagout procedures.</li></ul><p><strong>Mechanical Assembly & System Build Support</strong></p><ul><li>Assemble machine frames, mechanical components, motion systems, and sub‑assemblies from blueprints and work instructions.</li><li>Install linear rails, pneumatics, gear drives, structural components, and precision hardware.</li><li>Support equipment testing, debugging, and final validation during integration.</li><li>Work collaboratively with engineering, electrical, and production teams during machine builds and upgrades.</li><li>Maintain organized work areas and follow 5S and safety practices.</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required; technical training in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or mechatronics preferred.</li><li><strong>2–4 years</strong> of experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical assembly, equipment repair, or a related field.</li><li>Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, motion components, and industrial hardware.</li><li>Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, schematics, and assembly instructions.</li><li>Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.</li><li>Ability to lift up to <strong>50 lbs</strong> and stand or move for extended periods.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, FL.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.<p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
