HR Business Partner- Employee Relations
<p>Our client is a leading proprietary trading house deploying its own capital across discretionary, systematic and market-making strategies within global listed markets. Operating in a highly regulated and technology-driven environment, the firm is recognised for its precision, pace and commitment to market integrity.</p><p>An opportunity has arisen for an Employee Relations Specialist to join the London office, operating within a global People function and supporting teams across APAC, Europe and the US. This role will act as the central Employee Relations subject matter expert, ensuring people practices remain compliant, commercially sound and aligned with regulatory standards across jurisdictions.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The successful candidate will manage a complex and high-risk international ER caseload, providing expert guidance across disciplinary, grievance, appeal, investigation, performance and capability matters. The position requires ownership of sensitive and strategic issues within a fast-paced, regulated trading environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Managing end-to-end employee relations casework across multiple regions#</p><p><br></p><p>Advising on organisational change initiatives including restructures, redundancies and cross-border transfers</p><p><br></p><p>Developing and delivering ER training to managers globally</p><p><br></p><p>Drafting and harmonising HR and ER policies in line with UK employment law and relevant international frameworks</p><p><br></p><p>Ensuring all people-related decisions meet regulatory and compliance standards</p><p><br></p><p>Partnering closely with Legal, Compliance and Risk functions on sensitive matters</p><p><br></p><p>Leading employment contract projects across jurisdictions, including restrictive covenants, non-compete and confidentiality provisions</p><p><br></p><p>Mediating disputes and conducting fair, impartial investigations</p><p><br></p><p>Monitoring ER data and trends globally, presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership</p><p><br></p><p>The role will also contribute to broader HR initiatives where required, supporting alignment with business strategy.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Candidate Profile</strong></p><p><br></p><p>CIPD Level 5 minimum, Level 7 preferred</p><p><br></p><p>Proven experience managing complex ER matters within a regulated, fast-paced and international environment</p><p><br></p><p>Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law, with exposure to APAC and US frameworks advantageous</p><p><br></p><p>Experience within financial services, trading or similarly regulated sectors highly desirable</p><p><br></p><p>Commercially astute with strong risk awareness</p><p><br></p><p>Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to influence senior leaders</p><p><br></p><p>High levels of discretion, resilience and emotional intelligence</p><p><br></p><p>Comfortable partnering closely with Legal teams on contractual and regulatory matters</p><p><br></p><p>This position reports directly to the Chief People Officer and offers the opportunity to shape global ER standards within a high-performance trading business.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Offer</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Technology-led environment central to business success</p><p><br></p><p>Agile, entrepreneurial culture with strong financial backing</p><p><br></p><p>Collaborative and high-calibre global workforce</p><p><br></p><p>Opportunity to make measurable impact within a scaling international firm</p><p><br></p><p>Hybrid working -3 Days in office</p><p><br></p><p>Competitive package</p><p><br></p><p>To be considered for this role please click apply now</p>
