Job Description

Care 4 You Senior Services is looking for a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team!

  • We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice CNA to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including assisted living facility, nursing homes, and home care environments. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily activities and ensure their comfort and well-being. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing quality care and making a difference in the lives of others.

Duties

  • Adhere to all nursing standards and protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate medical documentation.
  • A hospice nurse aide takes care of proper grooming and hygiene for patients. They help patients with brushing, bathing, dressing, and feeding. They also provide nail and dental care to the clients, and change diapers and linens when necessary.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following aseptic techniques.
  • Help with mobility by assisting patients in moving around safely within their environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and progress.
  • Document patient information accurately in medical records as required.

Qualification

  • Valid/ current Certified Nursing Assistant State Licensure
  • Previous experience in Hospice or palliative care settings
  • Experience in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
  • A team player with Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Active listening to understand patient and family needs
  • Clear communication with healthcare team members
  • Empathy in conversations with patients and families
  • Experience in home care or medical office settings is desirable.
  • Proficiency in aseptic technique to ensure patient safety during procedures.
  • Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs.

Physical and Mental Effort:

Prolonged standing and walking, lifting required; requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient/ family needs; and to make quick decisions and resource acquisitions; meet family/ patient psychosocial needs.

Pay: $30.00 per hour
