Job Title: FirewatchJob DescriptionThe Firewatch plays a crucial role in supporting hot-work operations aboard vessels, in dry docks, and throughout the shipyard by monitoring for fire hazards and ensuring a safe working environment. This position is essential for preventing fires during welding, cutting, grinding, and other spark-producing activities.Responsibilities<ul><li>Monitor hot-work operations for fire hazards.</li><li>Ensure a safe working environment during welding, cutting, grinding, and other spark-producing activities.</li><li>Support fire prevention measures aboard vessels, in dry docks, and throughout the shipyard.</li></ul>Essential Skills<ul><li>Experience in shipyard labor and marine repair.</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues, including valve and motor repairs.</li><li>Knowledge of ship repair and marine engines.</li><li>Must have a secret security clearance.</li></ul>Additional Skills & Qualifications<ul><li>Experience working in a marine environment.</li><li>Familiarity with firewatch protocols and safety measures.</li></ul>Why Work Here?Join a team dedicated to safety and excellence in the marine industry.
