<strong style="font-weight:700;">Job Title: Firewatch</strong><strong>Job Description</strong><p>The Firewatch plays a crucial role in supporting hot-work operations aboard vessels, in dry docks, and throughout the shipyard by monitoring for fire hazards and ensuring a safe working environment. This position is essential for preventing fires during welding, cutting, grinding, and other spark-producing activities.</p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Monitor hot-work operations for fire hazards.</li><li>Ensure a safe working environment during welding, cutting, grinding, and other spark-producing activities.</li><li>Support fire prevention measures aboard vessels, in dry docks, and throughout the shipyard.</li></ul><strong>Essential Skills</strong><ul><li>Experience in shipyard labor and marine repair.</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues, including valve and motor repairs.</li><li>Knowledge of ship repair and marine engines.</li><li>Must have a secret security clearance.</li></ul><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Experience working in a marine environment.</li><li>Familiarity with firewatch protocols and safety measures.</li></ul><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>Join a team dedicated to safety and excellence in the marine industry. Employees will be engaged in a hands-on environment, requiring adherence to safety protocols and a professional dress code appropriate for shipyard operations.</p><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Contract position based out of Silverdale, WA.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.<p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
