Fabrication Engineer

The purpose of the Fabrication Engineer role is to ensure accurate engineering cost efficiency and technical execution of fabrication projects from design stage through production The role is responsible for translating project requirements into detailed shop drawings precise material take-offs MTO and accurate cost estimations while ensuring alignment with manufacturing capabilities and project specifications strong Responsibilities strong Prepare detailed shop drawings and fabrication drawings based on project specifications Perform Material Take-Off MTO and prepare accurate quantity estimations Develop and review design calculations and technical documentation Coordinate with design production and site teams to ensure smooth project execution Prepare and review BOQs cost estimations and technical proposals Ensure compliance with project specifications client requirements and industry standards Support procurement by providing material specifications and technical clarifications Monitor fabrication activities and provide technical guidance to workshop teams Conduct site visits when required to resolve fabrication and installation issues Optimize fabrication processes to improve efficiency and reduce material wastage Liaise with system suppliers and consultants for technical approvals 8-12 years of relevant fabrication engineering experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Civil Engineering or related field.Strong experience in:-Design & detailing-Estimation & costing-Material Take-Off (MTO)-Shop drawings preparation-Fabrication processes & production coordination-Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)-Knowledge of SolidWorks / Tekla / other 3D modeling software is an advantage.
