Engineer, Infrastructure Observability

As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure. We are seeking someone with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of observability tools and practices. Develop and maintain tools and systems for infrastructure observability, including monitoring, logging, and tracing capabilities. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing impact on operations. Utilize automation and other technologies to improve efficiency and scalability of observability processes. Proactively monitor and analyze system performance and identify potential areas for improvement. Collaborate with team members to continuously improve and optimize observability practices and tools. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in observability, and make recommendations for implementing new technologies and processes. Document and communicate observability processes and procedures to team members and stakeholders. Contribute to the design and implementation of a disaster recovery plan for the infrastructure observability systems. Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely response to critical infrastructure incidents. Communicate with vendors and other external partners to troubleshoot and resolve any observability-related issues. Mentor and coach junior team members on observability tools and practices. Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to ensure observability requirements are considered and incorporated into new projects and initiatives. Maintain a high level of quality and accuracy in all work, adhering to established standards and procedures. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and systems to enhance the overall performance and reliability of the infrastructure.
