Skaggs-Walsh is a well-established, family-owned heating oil company serving NYC, Westchester, and Long Island. In addition to heating oil delivery, we provide HVAC, electrical, pest control, and plumbing services.

We are hiring a Customer Service / Credit Representative for our College Point office. This is a full-time, in-person position.

We are looking for someone confident on the phone who is comfortable discussing account balances and collecting payments in a professional, respectful manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound collection calls on past-due accounts
  • Speak professionally with customers about balances and payment options
  • Set up payment arrangements when appropriate
  • Answer inbound billing and account inquiries
  • Maintain accurate notes and payment records
  • Coordinate with internal departments as needed

Requirements:

  • Comfortable calling customers to collect money
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Reliable and professional demeanor
  • Prior collections or credit experience preferred but not required
  • Willing to learn — training provided

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $23–$25 per hour (based on experience)
