Using fact based, data driven and innovative practices blended with the expertise of a team of credit professionals, Loan Review provides comprehensive perspectives on credit quality and existing or emerging risks or weaknesses, and makes value add recommendations to foster positive change. Operating within the credit risk management framework and through established partnerships across the bank, the Division proactively collaborates to drive culture and behaviors which support the risk appetite of the bank. A third line of defense reporting to the Board Risk Committee, Loan Review maintains transparent business partner interactions and acts with quality, clarity, and speed.The Credit Analyst I is responsible for conducting in-depth industry and financial analysis of existing and potential borrowers. This job works cooperatively to support the Lending and Credit functions of the Bank.Depth & Scope:Responsible for basic financial analysis of less complex loans/industries/CustomersWork reviewed and monitored by lead staffBasic understanding of loan risk factors.May research industry specific information from outside sources, which may include conversation with Borrowers, industry publications, area libraries, references from other banks, credit agencies, as well as accessing information through the InternetMay participate in Customer meetings and make direct inquiry for specific Customer information based on prior research, experience and knowledge (may require travel at times)Integral part of loan origination process.
