Claims Partner, Arenas and Special Events
About the position
As a Claims Partner – Arenas & Special Events, you will be on the front lines of risk management at some of the biggest and most exciting live events in Las Vegas. From sold-out arena shows to high-profile special events, you’ll play a critical role in protecting our guests, our properties, and our brand—while building a dynamic career in Corporate Risk Management. This is not a desk-only role. You’ll be onsite at major events, collaborating with Property Risk Directors, Security, and Guest Services to proactively mitigate risk and resolve claims in real time.
Responsibilities
- Attend live arena and special events to perform onsite risk management and proactively mitigate incidents
- Partner with Property Risk Directors, Security, and Guest Services to address issues in real time
- Investigate third-party bodily injury and property damage claims, including reviewing surveillance, reports, medical documentation, and conducting interviews
- Evaluate liability exposure and assess damages to determine fair and timely resolution
- Establish and manage claim reserves, process payments, and maintain accurate claim documentation within the system
- Negotiate and resolve claims within designated authority levels and collaborate with leadership on escalated matters
- Identify risk transfer opportunities through contract review and support litigation documentation when necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of prior relevant experience in claims or risk management
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule with required onsite attendance at live events, including nights and weekends
- Strong investigative skills with the ability to assess liability and evaluate damages
- Proven negotiation skills and sound judgment within designated authority levels
- Ability to exercise diplomacy and provide high-level guest service in sensitive situations
- Knowledge of medical terminology used in bodily injury claims
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Nice-to-haves
- Insurance and property or casualty claims experience preferred
- Experience in hospitality, entertainment, special events, or resort environments preferred
