As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards.
- Develop and execute innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Manage food preparation processes, including cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen efficiency.
- Assist with providing exceptional service and meal preparation for various occasions.
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist in ordering ingredients as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or catering setting is essential.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling practices, and kitchen equipment.
- Experience in menu planning and meal preparation for diverse dietary requirements is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- A culinary degree or certification is an asset but not mandatory; passion for cooking is key.
