The responsibilities of the Cadastral Technician II include, but are not limited to:</p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>Writing legal descriptions of land from recorded descriptions, deeds, maps, and other related documents; using CAD/GIS workstations to prepare new maps and revise existing maps.</li><li>Conducting extensive title searches to determine ownership on problem or questioned properties; making corrections on existing maps, or creating new maps as directed.</li><li>Reading legal descriptions from deeds and plot combinations, segregations, and cuts on official assessor maps.</li><li>Calculating and inputting all characteristics and data of individual parcels into the ATS system and geodatabase for departmental use.</li></ul><p><strong>CORE COMPETENCIES</strong><br> The ideal candidate will possess one year of experience as a Cadastral Technician I in the County of Orange Assessor's Office, or one year of comparable work experience. Only the most successful candidates will be placed on the eligible list.</p><p><strong>Eligible List</strong><br>Once the assessment process has been completed, HRS will establish an eligible list of candidates.
