Duties

• Safely operate a 26-foot box truck to deliver goods to residential and commercial locations across your route.
• Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition, including checking brakes, lights, and fluid levels.
• Manage delivery schedules efficiently by following planned routes and adjusting for traffic or unforeseen delays.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring their needs are met during deliveries.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management or moving stock when required.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with knowledge of route driving best practices.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle with manual transmission.
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading cargo.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and proper vehicle maintenance procedures.
